Can't get to the Free Stuff? Sorry, oh, well. Can't get to your home page? Try again later. But, what about people coming to the site to purchase something and make money for both the merchant and the site? Whenever the site goes down (or won't load), people tend to overlook the fact that downtime = lost revenue. The longer it's down, the more people will shop elsewhere. It would be interesting to see some statistics for the site: on average, how many sales are made each hour or each minute. Then, when the site goes down for 1 hour, approximately X number of sales are lost. Down for 2 hours? Double that number. 3 hours? 4? At what point do people give up completely and go somewhere else that's more willing to accept their money? And how many "down again" times does it take before people give up completely and purchase from a "more stable" site?
