Can you get the soft select to actually select soft? A standard soft select means an area of polygons will be selected, but the selection will gradually be reduced in an outward pattern from where the selection was made. Imagine the difference between a soft brush and a hard brush in Photoshop. That's what I'm talking about. The result is that vertices in the softer area are moved less than vertices in the harder area. When I use the soft select in MM2 Pro, it just hard grabs a few polygons around wherever I clicked. It isn't soft, and I can't control exactly what it grabs.
