You can add bones in the setup room in Poser 5. I think you might even be able to use the hierarchy editor to help you along. i cannot say how best to do expression morphs. I'm sure Little Dragon or someone else will be along with that tip. I would suggest you try to set up your body part grouping while in MAX, as it will probably be easier. Good luck!
