Dials can be copy-pasted. Click on top of the dial (where the name of the dial is) then hit Ctrl-c. Then get whatever dial you want to paste it TO and hit Ctrl-v. Your dial settings are now pasted to the new dial. You can also use the menu, I think it's in Object, and choose Copy and then Paste. Sometimes the Ctrl c /ctrl v doesn't work (it doesn't work with the DROPS python script for instance) but using the menu works fine. And if you want to make symmetric drops characters it's the easiest way to do it. The of course afterwards you'll have to alter the x-trans or whatever axis you want it to be symmetric around, but..it works :o) And it has never crashed my Poser ... yet. knocks on wood
