It really shouldn't be called a mesh, it's misleading. Especially for those of us with outside-bryce modeling experience, and ESPECIALLY for those of us with 3D Game design experience. Back where i come from, the Half-Life 3rd part developing communities, a mesh is a 2d image of the wireframe (every single part that requires a seperate, or even slightly different texture mapping) on a black background, creating the guides and outlines for texturing.
