:chuckle at Dr Geep: Many years ago a crazy poet named Joaquin Miller went to England where he had tea with Queen Victoria and delighted adoring audiences with reams of verse. Known as "The Poet of the Sierras", he headed back here and bought 80 acres overlooking SF Bay. That's when things got really weird. He felt a need to work with his hands while thinking, so he reached for the native rock and started piling and mortaring. Besides his own funeral pyre, he built a Viking lookout, and an Eqyptian pyramid, and a Norman castle tower JUST LIKE THIS ONE. Here in the Oakland Hills. He was actually a pretty tidy builder. ;^) People still clambor over his monuments, and the homestead is a place where I can bring visitors, knowing that they'll find something to amuse them. Kawecki, thanks for the tower. Besides the excellent texture, it has a nice silhouette which should serve well in landscape scenes. Carolly
