I'm not sure whether the following might provoke channels for you to explore, but I've always been impressed by the Medusa Graphics' usage of Math nodes in Poser 5 to combine two (or more) textures. The pictured example shows just one of Poser 5's mind-boggling possible ways where Medusa's tattoo (linked freebie) strategy may be used to create a 'second skin' material. I'm using Arki's Redqueen psd texture here, but instead of merging layers to make a new texture, I've assigned the second texture within Poser 5s material room following Medusa's guidance. The relative interplay of texture strengths can be adjusted to great effect, as well as the Math Argument, and the material can be saved to the library, and easily edited for the creation of MAT poses.
