Figured I'd drop some comments: @ICM: Man, you look so intense. Also you remind me of some actor, though I can't put a finger on it. @JC_01: That is some beautiful hair you have there. Nice legs too =P. @Groingrinder: Hulk hogan look-alike. Seriously man, that's one 'evil eye' stare you have there. @drawbridgep: Intense. @tjohn: I always wanted a squirrel as a pet. Crazy little critters. @Vasquez: doesn't ask @IndigoSplash: So cute. @Woodhurst: looks like it's time for a haircut. For some reason I pictured you in medieval armor, sporting a claymor. @Zhann: Regal. @Nukeboy: Your name fits. What kind of gun is that you've got there? I got to fire an AK47 last month at my uncle's range. Fun stuff. Five in a dime with a 22 from 100. @Ringbearer: You look like a friend of mine before he cut his hair. He finally gave up and just shaved it off, literally, he was a chrome dome for a while. Nobody recognized him. @IBassplayer205: Cool, I have a friend who plays bass in a band. I usually attend the shows. Just some initial reactions that I felt the need to let loose.

I have never been caught on film (to my knowledge). My parents are Amish and cameras (computers for that matter) were strictly forbidden. My Mother thought they were Vile (yep that is were its from always had it always will). I had chanced once when I was ten to see some pictures and a girls camera! Amazing! I wanted this world! Best way to approach an Amish person is not with a camera in hand! Anyway when I was thirteen I ran away from home and jumped on a freight train headed west. I got a job when I was fourteen (lied about my age) cleaning up used computers for resale (thus my pension for electronics grew). The rest is about as boring as the beginning. Although sometimes behind the camera I never have tried to step in front of one and no one has ever offered (although there are surely surveillance images of me?). Is that odd? I have never really thought about it I guess. I mean I look in the mirror and realize that is me and people I know recognize me. Does that sound weird? Oh well I was why off on what all of you looked like so I will leave my comments to myself! And is anyone but me really disturbed by what Vasquez is doing?

Well, the ol' rock and roller is a Heckler & Koch MP5-SD, a fully supressed (silenced) 9mm. It's more of a "toy" at work. I usually carry a couple of different weapons on duty. Hey, no worries! I'm one of the good guys keeping the world safe. Ornlu: 5 in a dime? Iron sights or a scope? We'll see if Boomer joins the discussion... Vile: My wife is from PA. She had a friend at Penn State that was Amish. According to her, the Amish grant something like a "sin free" period where you can go out and sow wild oats, but come back home and are expected to fit back in. Is that true? Vasquez: Boomer and I will be dropping by shortly. Hopefully, there'll be just a nice beef stew waiting!

Nukeboy: She is probably pulling it over on ya. No! Especially if they are the Old Order Amish, Mennonites and progressive Amish might (I dont them)? Pennsylvania Dutch might also have something like that (But I really doubt it). I would think though you would be shunned depending on the family, but that is more typical if you came back. I think there have been some commercials that have portrayed things like this.

Vile ( ) posted Wed, 03 December 2003 at 11:42 PM

And it is not a "sin free" period if you come back you must atone for you sin and then be baptized.

Ornlu ( ) posted Wed, 03 December 2003 at 11:44 PM

Nukeboy: Iron sights, but lying down. Standing I can get 10 in a half dollar from 100. I just like .22 rifles because they are fun to shoot and cheap as well. Don't have to worry about knocking your shoulder out either. Shotguns are fun but it gets more expensive. At my uncle's range I've also tried a desert eagle (ouch, my hands still hurt; and ears.) It's a d-eagle .50 too so it's pretty 'fun'... I'm not very accurate with that at all. He has some huge rifle, I haven't shot it; a Psg-1 or something. He bought it at a gun auction for 10 grand. But I've seen him split a quater sideways from a long way off, past the end of the range. It's deafening. He has a few berettas as well. Some world war 1/2 rifles and pistols including a luger. An AK-47, that thing scares me. anything more than a few burst rounds and the recoil can take off if you aren't expecting it. I'm not huge into guns and such, but I have visited his range and had some good times. Just glad that there are laws controlling them, you don't realize how dangerous they are untill you see a couple targets/soda cans/baseball hats that an ak has ripped through, lol. Keep safe.

ocddoug ( ) posted Wed, 03 December 2003 at 11:58 PM

Nukeboy: "Beware the Inquisition"? Don't get that one lol..should I? Quick: Yea, I turned out looking like Satan, or Frank Zappa (same thing). Man, you must have had quite a lot of beers that night LOL...actually, I look like that after one Moosehead.

tjohn ( ) posted Thu, 04 December 2003 at 12:46 AM

I believe Nukeboy thinks you look like Michael Palin of Monty Python as the Great Inquisitor of the Spanish Inquisition Sketch. "No one expects the Spanish Inquisition! Our chief weapon is surprise..." To torture a confession out of an old lady, the Inquistor's aides poke her with soft cushions, and force her sit in a comfy chair. It doesn't seem to bother her much. :^)

(NUKE..like I have room to talk with my one pic) The one on the left is at the end of a day at the range with the Team. A good sniper needs to practice. (that's my secondary weapon. My primary, a .308, was done for the day. 1 inch groups at 200 meters. That's the standard) The second is of my nephews and I at Universal a couple of years ago. The one on the left is actually only a few weeks old. On my way to the store for more food. 5 days in the gym drives my food bills through the wall. Need to stay stronger than the bad guys so you guys don't get hurt.

After Vasquez's picture, I'm a little worried about the people we've not heard from.... Rochr, doublecrash, alvin, lemonjim, Englewolf and his misses etc. Very worrying. As for me, "intense", "actor".... I can live with that. As long as the actor isn't Pee-Wee Herman. There is a lot of facial hair among the members (mostly the blokes), must be an artist thing. And yes, Incarnadine DOES look like the simpsons bloke. Or Kevin Smith.

Wait a second. I missed a couple comments. Beef stew? How much and what are you guys going to eat? I'll take the bones for later. Fiber you know. Ornlu, 10 in a half dollar? Not bad. Whether it's open sights or a scope. That's just fine. Good shooting. By military standards, any shot to the torso is considered a hit and a kill. By law enforecement standards, which are the FBI standards, my shots need to be between the outer corner of the eyes and the top of the eyebrow and the bottom of the eye socket. Basically, right between the eyes. This hits the brain stem or the "no reflex zone". My best is 3 shots in a 1 inch square at 400 meters. Zhann, if you're wondering what I have, it's an AR-15. The semi-automatic (1 shot for each trigger pull) version of the full-automatic (just hold the trigger) military M-16. Nice, Nuke. Fully silenced. hehehehehehehe Hey, don't worry everyone. We're the good psychos. At least that's what the voices in my head tell me.

Yay, I managed to get back to the forum, and just in time for a fun post, too! It's an attractive bunch of people we've got here! Occasionally scary, though *worried glance at vasquez and nukeboy* So here's my picture. Generally my hair's really really curly and corkscrewed and a bit out of control, but this was taken right after my roomates attacked me with hair straighteners (they literally ambushed me, lol). Zhann, you look so much like my mom! Well, a younger version. But if you went to one of our family reunions you could easily pass for a relative (except that no one would know you, of course) And tjohn, I'm so jealous--I always wanted a pet squirrel, but the parents never went for it. They did let me have a bunny, though.

MP5s are a fun little gun, but you can't beat a 203, the lovely little pop of the grenade launcher :-) As one of my mates has always said though - my favourite weapon is calling in the air force, all I have to do is give them the grid and watch :-)

Well, to be blunt...the bad guys are the drug dealers, the crack whores, the muggers, the rapists, the car thieves, the burglars, the murderers...basically, you know the stuff that accumulates at the bottom of the barrel, well, they are a few steps below that. They are the dark angel of society that most people don't want to know about. Stuff happens everyday, everwhere, at any time. I work nights, 8PM to 4AM, so I get to deal with them on a regular basis. It changes you. It can't be helped. I've been out sick for the past week with a kickin' chest cold, so i've had some reprieve. This is a one of many stories written. Zhann, you just gave the components of Semtex. Stonger than most other conventional explosives. This combo is rather stable and looks and feel like silly putty. The aluminum, usually in a power state, adding 15%-30% more bang to the compound being used. C-4 is nice because it can be molded and shaped to be used for a cutting or shaped charge. Ahhh, the applications are endless. And let's not forget people, there are very few problems n this worls that can not be resolved with a suitable amount of high explosives. Have a nice day. :) The above image is perfect for THIS part of the thread. (I wonder how long we can keep one thread going for?)
