Hey Nilla my son is the a month younger than yours! :~) He'll be 11 in February. Although it's my 7 year old daughter who's the artsy one like me. She has her own camera, and will often come with me take pictures of her own. She's amazed me with some of her photos. I think it's wonderful that you are encouraging his love of photography, as I do with my daughter.
