Thank you gang. Ysvry, I didnt say I had a grayscale map for the mermen. I said I decided to use seahorses instead of the mermen, which appeared on the Noble Collection sextant. Although I think its quite possible to model mermen in Bryce I thought it would be very time intensive and a project all in itself. Originally I thought I would model them in Poser and/or 3D Studio Max and import them into Bryce, which would have been less painful and a lot faster to do, but that would have defeated the purpose of modeling the entire sextant in Bryce. So after some thought, I decided to substitute the mermen with something else that wouldnt be so time intensive and would still relate with the concept of the sea and the sextant. The seahorse came immediately to mind and I instantly envisioned that it was a symmetrical object so I set out to design the grayscale bitmap in Photoshop. LOLsorry Ysvry, but if you want to see a merman bitmap youll have to create it yourself. If you should decide to undertake such a challenge, please keep us abreast of the progress, I for one would be most interested. LOL@TheBryster (meister)Bryster, the original catalog picture of the sextant has two mermen holding up the sextant at the base. As explained above, due to the complexity and time requirement to model the human form in Bryce, I decided to substitute them using the seahorses instead.
