Remember that the downside of using the background picture is it will always have it's resolution matched to whatever your work window is set to. So if you do a final render to another window at a larger size, your background will still be the resolution it was for the work window. For doing high-resolution backgrounds, uses the one sided square and apply your background picture to that as a texture. Or use something like Nerd's background tool.
