Don't know too much about PPM but P-Booost is great. It does a lot more than just library management. You can edit most aspects of files with it. Also, if you're using P4, it gives you the ability to divide your stuff up into far more folders than Poser would ever allow and have hierarchical access to them so getting to your stuff is relatively quick and easy.
