I'll try that one again :) (deleted last post it didn't make sense even to me) AntiVirus software that performs background scans has been known to lock folders too, I know Mcaffee scans folders sometimes if you make changes & I've had times when I've had to reboot just so I can delete an empty folder thanks to that. The way I've got round that one is to switch everything off, internet connection, antivirus the lot & just run poser on it's own. I'm on XP Home with service pack1.
