With smaller files, it doesn't matter. With really big files an extra 10% squeezed out might make a difference. Actually, the most important thing for us Mac users is to be careful of name lengths in everything including textures. I continually have to go back and edit names to include the .jpg at the end because somebody named the file "montmorency_sweater_scarlet_with_tesselated_fractal_reindeer.jpg" and the Mac goes "huh?". I've had to do this even with purchased products. The other thing to watch if you are making CDs is to use a data format such as Joliet which can be read across platforms. Otherwise the names will get truncated to the DOS 8.3 format, which makes loading textures hellacious. Yes, I've had to go in and guess and rename even on purchased products. Carolly
