nah...heres the answer...(and the problem) the "object not found" error is an error relating to radial lights in groups in Bryce. This error was not corrected until the 4.1 version...unfortunately, new buyers are SOL in this...but meta buyers (those with 4) can upgrade to 4.1 and kiss this sucker goodbye. what causes it is editing a light that is within a group without ungrouping the light...its really easy to reproduce in 3.0 (or 3.1) or 4.0 but the differences vary in 3.0 if you create 1 radial light and one cube..group them then edit the light without ungrouping it then save the file..it will not reopen and you get this error in 4.0 if you create 2 radial lights and one cube..group them and edit the lights (again without ungrouping them) and save the file, it will not reopen got a whole section about this error in the bugs section of my site...and its a BAD bug...ive lost many files to it...and spending hours on a file just to lose it is not a good thing! anyhow..check this out! you can learn the workaround, more about the cause, and lots of other bryce bugs http://www.brycetech.com/bugs.html good luck BT
