Have you used the crack to avoid having to activate - that causes the problems you are having. If so just take it off and activate properly. Some fancy IBM keyboards definitely need their drivers updating for PS8, so if you are using a keyboard with extra keys from any other manufacturer you may want to try updating the drivers for that.
