Vandamme is right ! I also found it ! Guitta

Well, on my computer, I can't save material color functions. There is no crash, but saved color functions don't appear in the visual browser. Michael

Michael, the save function only appears if you change some thing in this window :-) Guitta

Was meinst Du damit, Guitta? Ich habe eine color function verdert und unter anderem Namen abgespeichert, Sie erschien aber nicht im visual browser. Michael

I think, your problem is not the same. I'll answer you by mail. Guitta

Here is a description of your problem:

vueerr00.gif

If you edit an MATERIAL COLOR FUNCTION or a BUMP FUNCTION, the program crashes, when you double click on the Function preview (1) or if you click on "store" (2)

Here is the second part of the error message:
vueerr01.gif

The same with BUMP FUNCTION:
vueerr02.gif

Here is the complete error message - I have put it together with a graphics program:
vueerr03.gif My Hardware configuration:
Athlon 600, 128 MB RAM, Voodoo 3 3000.
It seems that this Bug appears on several computers with different configurations.

I'll send a copy of the Forum page to the Vue tech support.

Bye
Michael

Michael, this explanation was not necessary. Vandamme already has reported the problem to e-osoft 3 weeks ago and we also know how it happens ! And ... e-on also reads this pages !!! Guitta

wagner ( ) posted Sat, 26 August 2000 at 3:57 PM

Hi, Yes, but read also the other Forum page about Vue crashes! Michael

I don't know if tech support is reading this page or not. I have forwarded the problem though. Best regards, Lynn Fredricks e-on software US Business Unit
