Bryceing with crayons. This is just a testrender to se what it would look like. will most likely do a huge city scene with lots of buildings and cars, and perhaps animate it.

Could this be something?

Sooooooooooo cute!!!!! Love the cars and bus, what a novel idea! Yes definitely animated it, you could even stick Mr. Bill, or Gumby in there for a hoot!

I did something a little like that a few years ago (took me a while to find the image too). Although, I really like your crayon texture.

Cool. My little GD would love it. Love your snake Ricky

I love that image Svaelt. Very cool idea. Looking forward to seeing what the cityscape turns out like. 8) Wade

i have always wondered how you could render bryce images like cartoons. something like in futurama (for those of you have seen it). anybody care to let me in on the little secret?

Not really much of a secret. You just make terrains and lattices based on the drawings ... or as in Svaelt's case, you also make some textures based on the drawings. As I recall, my snake head was a lattice as were the trees and house. Then you just use the drawing as a material to color the object. They are a lot of fun to do. I also started a small animation a few years back that involved a cartoon like character .... this is one of the frames.

Could be worse, could be raining.

What lighting did you use, Svaelt, and what was the render time? www.shonner.com

Shonner, I used a lightdome with 115 radial lights rendertime at 1024x768 normal AA was about an hour. If it comes to animate this i will have to work on the lighting to cut rendertimes.
