If you can get hold of some of the back copies of 3D mags like Computer Arts, 3DWorld or Digit (depending on where you live) they sometimes have free Poser 3 on them. However P3 is pretty sucky (from what I understand, I have never used it.) Poser Artist (formerly packaged as Poser 4) is available on the Curious Labs website for 99 Euros. Or you could try Ebay for a used copy...
