A little selected gaussian blur and/or blur tool, and judicious use of the clone brush works wonders. I don't know how advanced in photoshop you are, so mentioning curves and channels might not necessarily be a help. Adjusting the color balance and saturation can also help. I'd have to actually see the pictures to offer any real advice.
