you came to the right place, welcome! 2. most people use a paint program of some sort for texture creation & post work. (I use adobe photodeluxe & photoshop) there are a few other proggie's you'll want, steve cox's uvmapper (free stuff) & morph manager (free stuff) 3. make sure you have the latest service release loaded to fix as many poser5 bugs as you can. 4. start to play, get familar with the menus, espesially applying textures. check out the free stuff here, there's a whole lot of really nice stuff to use. spend time scrolling though the forum, you can learn a lot from other people's questions look for the primer's that geep posted. 5. look up at the top of the screen, right below the ad banner, click tutorials. 6. just so you know, when people refer to posette & dork, they mean the standard poser4 characters. vicky & mike are add on characters that you buy from daz3d.com (most commonly used). since you have poser5 you have don & judy. hope you have plenty of space on your hard drive because this will fill it up given time.
