Hi ernyoka- A Scandinavian Fantasy Babe like you should have MORE RAM than just 256MB! I have no idea how you have been able to make all the models and other stuff you do with only that amount. I don't know what OS you are running, but the OS alone is already taking a chunk of that RAM, so you are probably running below 200MB- then there is Program (DS-Poser) overhead as well- so down even LOWER!. Finally, loading textures, surface calculations, etc. and you are talking about CHOKE CITY! I hope your hubby could get you another 256MB simm (depending upon slot availability) or some folks here at REN who love your work and contributions could get together and smuggle into Denmark some RAM because its pretty cheap here in the USA. Don't know what the Euro pricing plus TAX-TAX-TAX is there. I've found that models link Hankster's Temple Ruins and the Warroak sailing ship, with skydome, lights, water surface, etc. quickly eats TONS of RAM. I honestly think that if you are really hooked on 3D rendering and the BIGGER SCENE concepts you need at LEAST around 1 to 1.5MB, and preferrably "good stuff", so you won't have RAM glitch or render lock-ups. Win2K and XP Pro do a tremendously better job handling big Poser and DS scenes than early XP releases, and GOD FORBID- Windows 98SE!
