I've paid more than that for models. When your working on an item for a client and a deadline it makes perfect sense to pay for the mesh you need. If that model saved me 3 hours time it would have more than paid for itself in both my opinion and that of my clients. Whether that specific model is worth it isn't somehting I am commenting on, just the price :)
