Thanks, Daverj! That reads like I wasn't too far off the mark with my assessment. Well, according to that article, I guess we actually have just 4 console designs as opposed to 5. The classic console brought back for series 15 just looked so ramshackled that I assumed it was a "cost effective" copy of the earlier one. So, I guess we have: the "classic" the "Jules Verne" writing pedestal the "blinking mushroom of death" (I love that description!) and the "steampunk" gothic console So far the votes seem in favor of the "classic".
