So, OK, more revisionism on my part. Stand alone import got me a couple more figures, but then bad saves crop up again. I think it's just magic. If you pester the Vue gods long enough they let you save your file with imports. Odd, of course, I can load these preimported vue pose objects quite a bit, and as long as I don't save the new file I'm doing OK. I can do full renders even. So it's fine with these textures, haven't been having the bad file error with these imports. Who knows. Magic magic magic.
