Dystopia takes on a real SCI-FI ILLUSTRATION look using this new Toon Shader by Stewer. Lighting and tweaking in the DAZ Studio Surfaces Editor can reveal all kinds of effects using OpenGL. OpenGL doesn't preview the shader effects themselves however since this is still a RENDERING effect done by the shader.

Since in this ALPHA version of DAZ Studio (which has only very basic features implimented at this point prior to Beta)
there is no provision yet for Third-Party shaders, etc. So to use it you must disable the DS shader and replace it with Stewer's. It's extremely simple and his readme tells you how to do it. Personally what I did was this:

Made a directory in my Daz Studio Shaders folder called Stewer and placed it in there. Then I just place a "#" in front of the dzdefault.sdl (as #dzdefault.sdl) and then copy his into the shaders folder. When finished TOONING, just delete his "dzdefault.sdl" and remove the "#" from the original DAZ dzdefault.sdl. This way you can easily switch back and forth between them as needed.

Toon Shaders and other effects will likely be activated either by Python, or perhaps in the Surfaces Menu of DAZ Studio by Version 1, I would think. In the meantime, this new shader provides for me another reason why I am really excited about using the great render effects in DAZ Studio!
