"400-500k for a 900x900 is a bit much" OUCH! There's no reason for an image that size to be such a heavy file! If you're using Photoshop, try the "File: Save for Web" function. I normally save images around 60% and they're fine. With some rare ones, there's a bit of compression damage, and I increase the quality a little to compensate (you can see it as you're fidding with the settings). I'm not even on dialup, but I won't sludge through a gallery of images that are absurdly large. bonni
