WIP, WIP it! I'm working on a new system for making hair, it seems to be working out not-to-badly. Parts are mapped before they are bent into curls, this is not layered hair, tried that, done that, (Strip Hair), needed a better way. Model isn't too big (480 K or so), maps are small too. Only disadvantage is you need Max, and it take a fair amount of work. What do you think?

WoW! Amazing! Great work!

Very impressive look Mr. B. Did you mean that you have to have Max to create it, or use the finished model? (Hopefully the former)

Gee, I don't know which I like more, the great hair or the obscure F. Scott Fitzgerald reference. :)

Nance- Max is just needed to make it. It's a regular Poser Hair thingee now.

This is great hair--really really nice. And this is on your 'super model'?? The hair has such a nice flow. What does it look like with the head up--or isn't it ready for that yet?!? Diane B

Woahh - awesome stuff Jim! Quite remarkable. When`s it likely to be ready? ;-)

Jim Burton ( ) posted Sat, 02 September 2000 at 9:40 PM

Diane- Yep, it supermodel Vicki, who is waiting for the commerical version of Objaction Mover, but the hair is really for "regular" Vickie. It doesn't look too bad heads up. I put her head down so you could better see the curls have some thickness, unlike layered hair. Once I get the maps 100% figured out I'll post another pic. polartech- Seeing how I'm off work this long weekend, I hoping to have this one AND a long "fancy" hair done by Tuesday, but things never go as expected!

Great work Jim! Will this be your next Zygote model? Or will you be doing this one at BBay? Blacksteel

excelent work as usual jim

Y'all have a great day.

Jim, I'd love to get these when you have them done.....will they work on the P4 Posette as well? Or only Vicki (which I never got)? Krel

Thanks guys and Gals! The hair will work fine with minor scaling on the Posette, I'll probably have fitted CR2 files for both Vickie and the Posette, and maybe one for Supermodel Vickie too, if Zygote lets me. I've been putting up my stuff lately with various variations in CR2 files, it makes it a lot nicer for the user to fit, just clicking on (say) the blonde hair for the Posette instead of doing all the scaling and finding the right texture maps and settings.

I love this hair (could use it without the under curl though). Question though, are you selling this mesh or will it be free stuff? Liz Pope Dreamspinner Inc.

I think she short of looks like (?) The actress that died a year or so ago, was it lots of low budget flicks, girls in prison type, what was her name? I think she was in a band, too, sort of a tough character. Anyway, it's going to be for sale, maybe I'll put the first version (this was the third) of this system in Freestuff.

Here is what it looks like on "genuine" Vickie.
