Poor Genny (and doggie). My guinea pig, Thompson, died two weeks ago. Even though he was just a squeeking, animated wig (as my father put it) I was devastated. I do have a new piggy now (Tenchi) but I still miss Thompson. It comes to us all in the end of course but I bet you are giving your Great Dane lots of love and I am sure she appreciates that.
