Don't forget magnets! In Freestuff here LesBentley posted his Mirror Magnets, I highly recomend them for symmetric tweakings. You could then export the deformed clothing parts to use as morph targets. The Tailor works well for me 85% of the time, sometimes I still have to do a little smoothing here and there.
