OK ... now I'm confused. As I understand it there are four things involved in using people/animals in 3D ... the model the texture map the pose the morphs I can either use something that is preposed and ready to go, OR I can get Poser and purchase either Poser or DAZ models as well as third party morphs and maps, and have some flexibility with what I can do. In any event, if I want to create my own poses and such, I either have to buy Poser or wait until DAZ has an export feature to do my own poses and export to Bryce. What, if anything, do I have to purchase if I want to create my own texture maps, clothing, and such stuff as that? Also, do I have to purchase grouper and other third party software in order to export from Poser into Bryce? I'm not interested in becoming part of the Poser Porn culture, but I would like to incorporate some organic life (beyond plants) into some of my scenes. I'd also like to do some animal and human based architectural features. Of course, I also intended to do something with Rhino when I got that, and I find I'm still doing the bulk of my modeling in Bryce. So, I may give up on this idea as well, but I hope not, since I think that being able to add some other focus to my scenes will help my work in the long run.
Could be worse, could be raining.
