I would recommend, especially since the bird is already a 2d plane, that you take the time to learn dof by postwork. The render time saved is extraordinary! <-- radio voice Scene looks grand. Not so sure about the pond edge though. A birdhouse instead of the branch might look neat too. Good luck!
