I'm going to spill some beans prematurely here, but I've nearly completed the work on a morphable nihonto. This will be able to be morphed and parts (props) added to create almost any Japanese sword from a tanto, wakizashi, daito, nodachi, jindachi, shirasaya, to you name it. And like real nihonto, parts will be interchangeable: tsuba, mitokoromono, kashira, fuchi, jindachi mounts, kojiri, etc. This project has been HIGHLY and PROFESSIONALLY researched and has taken over three months so far. Not only were good, real nihonto used, but books (Satou's "The Japanese Sword: A comprehensive guide", Yumoto's "The Samurai Sword", "Arms and Armor of the Samurai", "The Shogun Age Exhibit", among them) and several dozen references from the web (many from Japanese sources). I'm not only interested in Japanese history and language, interested in Samurai, interested in Japanese martial arts, but am also training in Iaido, kenjutsu, and bikenjutsu. So, if I didn't do this correctly, I'd be beheaded by my sensei while performing seppuku! ;) That's all that I can say here and now. More detailed info and product previews will be forthcoming in the Product Showcase forum when ready. Kuroyume0161
