Are you using a Digital Camera? Yes Mam, I am. What brand did you buy? I bought Kodak DX 6340 and I had a problem with it and had wrote to Kodak.......... in replacement I got Kodak Dx 6440...... sounds crazy?? I think so too, I think there sure was some confusion and I loved it.:O)) Make and model? KODAK DX 6440 Price range? I bought the camera and the Memory stick and the batteries, rechargeable (Sanyo) It cost me Rupees 25000 and if you convert it , its like 555$ How many mega pixels? 4 mega pix What kind of photography do you shoot? I love Macro very much but fantasise about doing landscapes and light study etc., Ease of use? Too Easy as of now as I have not tried most of the things that I see here at renderosity., namely, night shoots using apperture and shutter speed adjustment etc., Did you read the manual? What manual?? Where is it?? No, I din't read it nor do I plan to, I want to spend my time learning as I use my cam and ofcourse, chatting with wonderful friends like yourself.;) What does the camera record on? (ie: CD, memory stick, file disk etc.) Internal Memory..... 16mb and there is provision for memory stick......... currently I am using 128 mb stick. Is this method cost effective? Undoubtedly. What kind of battery/batteries does your camera take? Tricky question...... CRV3 lithium battery, non-rechargeable, is included with the camera. Once it's over, you are on your own. The batts are damn too costly so you would have to compromise for a NiMH Rechargeable Batteries and I have tried both, Sony and Sanyo batteries for this........no good. I plan on getting a Lithium batts for the cam , are supposed to last longer than the NiMH. Do you consider this Cost effective? I think I answered above, dig cams are cost effective, if you mean the battery mode. hmmmmmmm...... well rechargeable batts even though not lasting long enough are a cheap option, no doubt. Would you consider this camera a good value for your money? I definitely would but then I have not tried any other dig cam so honestly I wouldnt know but if you mean am I happy with it...... Yes, to a great extent I am. Would you recommend this camera to a friend? I definitely would. Considering the ease with which it can be used. Is this camera a D-SLR? I think not. Pros and Cons? Anything else you would like to add? God Nilla, did you have to put this question?? You knew very well, this ques is not for me. Who gona stop me when I go on and on and on........ Pros...... easy to use. no botheration about buying films and then waiting for the roll to finish and then get it washed and printed only to realise that the light was either toooooooooo much or tooooooooooooo less and the whole pic got scewed up. I love the fact that you can use this cam, get a fair idea about what the result is gona be and if need be take another shot with a better perspective or light. I love the macro view of this cam very much. I love the LCD view, helps me a lot. Cons.......... These cams are a drain on the batteries. The flash , the..... lcd everything consumes too much of batt , hence I dislike this time and again pulling out and putting in of batteries. I wish it had a inbuilt battery which could be pluged in and charged. This cam claims a 15 x zoom Powerful 4X optical zoom (33-132 mm equivalent) from the leader in lens optics technology 3.8X Advanced Digital Zoom Stunning clarity for small and large prints KODAK Color Science inside for consistently vivid color edge to edge Multi-zone auto focus delivers incredible sharpness, no matter where your ........ this is what the manual says............. but trust me, it's all crap.......... the zoom is nothing but a tool to pixalate the image. I shall post some of the zooms of this cam and you would know what I mean.
