your drive is fragmented or worse. Try scandisk. 2. sometimes Poser won't create a good thumbnail. especially if I just created a figure and did not assign materials to it yet. I usually get a solid black rect. 3. Are you running in 16 bit or true color mode or 256 color mode. If you're in 256 color mode, try changing res to 16 or 24 or 32 bit. 4. You could also be out of virtual memory and so the system does not create the thumbnail but won't tellyou with an out of memory error. make sure you have enough space left on your CDrive and its not maxed out. Defragmenting helps tremendously. 5. This is a good excuse to convice the wifey that you need a new computer :)
