"The bad news is, now they tend to hang out in the OT section all the time, posting even on-topic messages in the OT section. :-/" And you're surprised? That's what a community does. It gathers itself together and discusses/debates EVERYTHING that its members find interesting regardless of whether or not it's supposed to be discussed. Your cat had kittens? Well, go tell your friends. Post pictures. Let the others post pictures of their cats, dogs, parakeets, whatever. It helps to forge the bond that keeps things on an even keel. This off topic sharing is the glue that holds a group of people together and makes them a community. Without the foray into the emotional/personal aspects of members' lives, all you have is a bunch of total strangers discussing methods and techniques and your "community" becomes nothing more than a technical manual and help desk. Can you say waaay boring? Kate
