I hope you're not trying to suggest that Bryce and Carrara are top of the line renderers. That would be misinformation. Bryce is probably the slowest render engine in any software I've seen, and Carrara is limited only to phong shading. The plugin renderers for 3dsMax would blow either of those out of the water, and so would Cinema4d for that matter. I don't know about Shade, because I don't think it's distributed in the US, only Japan.
