Another quick fix, if you have IE..(my sympathies), go to Tools|Internet Options|Delete Files, and check 'delete offline content'..every web page or picture from the internet you've visited gets stored there, and just are there to allow for faster screen refreshes. They don't really get erased. It does add up over time. And try stuff like Ad-Aware (Lavasoft), which will round up a lot of the cookies (they don't take much space, but they can be a trial) and squash 'em. Good luck.
