These realistic figures are fully setup and textured and come bundled with some props, clothing, poses, expressions and animation. With over 300 facial morphs you can create practically any expression you can imagine!

Now those are really excellent and very cute, realistic looking babies! Apparently they are Poser 5 compatible. Great looking little sleeper. I note you are selling them in your store. Is this the only spot where they will be available? How much in US dollars? The animations are also excellent.....very life-like :) Am I correct to assume that these are "original" characters or do I have to have a DAZ baby/Poser baby to use them? So far it looks like this is the only item in your store? What else do you have in the works and how soon will they be released?

Hi there To clarify my issues on the price point. $62 is at least $20 more than the millenium style figures from Daz, that in itself makes it a very high price product. I am not saying that they are not worth that money. Normailty is a rare thing in the Poser universe, especially 'straight out of the box' and this baby actually looks pretty normal. But my worry is that a lot of money is spent on the figure, a baby figure is never going to be a high-use figure for most people, but I will be waiting for more clothing and support for the figure before committing myself. I sincerely hope it does well, it looks like it deserves to. Best wishes Jody

Hi everyone - thanks for the comments! The price in Euro is 49.99 - that is roughly $64.99. This is for both figures, the clothes animation, poses, props etc. Normally, animation and clothing would be seperate upsell items. The Millennium baby includes 1 figure, less than half the number of morphs, 1 daiper - no other clothing, no poses and no animation. BTW, our morph targets are all used for expression and some for shaping realistically. There are no alien morph or other strange things. I'll post some expression images shortly. What woul all of you consider to be a reasonable price considering all that you get in the package? Maybe you should wait until you see the expressions before you set your price! :') Chris

Hi Chris Thanks for the information, I think there's a certain psychology going on here that I'm subscribing too, somewhat subconciously I might add. I've been sitting here thinking about it, and yes, you are correct, you're offering a lot for the price. I think the issue is, at least what I'm having, is that all figures I used have been Daz figures or derived from Daz figures. This is the first non-Daz figure I have ever been tempted to buy, mostly because previous non-Daz figures have been below the standards set by that company. As a result of this I have been judging your figure solely on comparison to Daz stuff, which is unfair, but also somewhat understandable. Anyway, as mentioned this figure looks a genuine improvement over the millbaby and I'm overjoyed somebody else has made a figure for Poser. I am still musing on buying this, because I have only used the Millbaby once, but I am pushing aside my previous figure experience and pricings in order to make that decision. Lots of luck. Can I ask you all for a favour?

We would like to make the babies a success (and the animals) so we have to set our pricing structure and packaging structure right in order to maximise our sales. This is the only way that we will be able to continue to make Poser products.

Please have a look at the following ideas and tell me which one would tempt you to buy - if any. If you have other suggestions, we're open to them!

1. Sell Baby Dylan and Baby Jenny as separate items. Each comes with all of the MAT files, textures, morphs and the nappy (diaper). Each could sell for $24.99 The clothing , poses and animation would then be sold as separate items at low prices, like $9.99

2. Sell both babies together for $49.99 and sell all other items as add-on packs at low prices.

3. Sell items both separately as in idea 1 AND as a combined pack as we are currently selling it.

BTW, just to clarify - yes, these are all original meshes, not based on any DAZ product. They were created in Maya and setup from scratch. (BTW, there will also be a Maya version but it is MUCH more expensive!)

The conformable sleeper looks exactly like the dynamic sleeper and it works for Poser Pro Pack. We will also be creating clothing packs - we plan to support these figures fully!!! That means clothing, props, new morphs, ethnic variants (Black, Asian, Indian, Hispanic and more) new textures, lots of poses and animation.

#1 seems like a great deal :) Actually, 64.00 for two babys, textures, outfit, diaper, poses etc isn't a bad deal. Will there be more clothing? I tried the store link but it is dead? Passing this by hubby :) I could use a really nice baby

If you have any problems with the stor links - try Shift-clicking the refresh button on your browser - we are still polishing some of the CGI code on the site so we have been updating a lot recently.

Same problem here. I can't FIND the product. Every time I try to access the web store "New Products" I get an error message "Unable to open ../admin/database.csv No such file or directory" Tried it with both IE and Netscape and get the same message. Otherwise, I'd be one of your first customers.

Here are the basic symmetrical expressions. These have been broken into individual components - like Angry eyes, mouth, nose etc. then broken further into left and right sides so they can be combined to create almost any imaginable expression. There are also a number of additional morphs, such as cheek sag and puff, lip synch, shaping morphs etc.

If you are going to buy the existing all-in-one product, the file sizes are as follows: Poser 5 version - 24.5 MB Poser Pro Pack - 21 Mb Poser 4 - 24.8 Mb I'll let you know what size they are split up but they won't be too small even as such with all of the textures.

Poser 5 version makes extensive use of the firefly rendering engine - the babies are textured with shader nodes and texture maps - for example -the sleeper outfit uses a displacement map to give it a realistic terrytowel texture even when viewed from the side. Also, the P5 version has the morphs sorted out into logical folders and sub folders - (see image)You will notice that I have the Expressions folder open and there are subfolders inside called xxx_Components. Inside those are the breakdowns of the expressions and subfolders for the asymmetrical components. Pro Pack version is similar to the Poser 4 version - textures and bump maps only except that they are all jpg instead of BUM files. Also, the previews are PNG files. The head morphs are all in a single folder which is not as tidy as the P5 version but that's the downside of P4. You could always make a lighter version with Morph Manager I suppose... There is no Dynamic sleeper included in the PP or P4 versions... for obvious reasons. Poser 4 version is the same as PP version except it uses RSR and BUM files as needed.

The links to the store are still off.....but at least I saw the product last night :) The $64 US price for both products is not a bad price if it includes all the poses, sleeper, diaper,body texture, etc......all the things shown here (except for Don and Judy, of course)! As far as comparing to DAZ.....I think we are all caught up in the "piecemeal" DAZ marketing arrangement. Sure....you can buy one strange looking DAZ baby for $30, but then you add $10.95 for total expression and pose pack, $6.95 for baby props and baby faces and you still only have "one" ugly baby with nothing to wear! :) I would be interested in purchasing this product, since I never did buy the DAZ baby. I use Poser 5 and do not have Poser 4. And I love the material room option! However, I would want both the dynamic and conforming sleeper. I still don't know P5 well enough to use all the dynamic stuff. Dynamic hair (except for the skull caps) is just too slow on my machine, and I have not quite figured out how to do dynamic clothing to make it look natural. Most merchants who do products with Poser 5 ini mind,provide both, so users have the option. You make that change (a combined PP and P5 product) and you will have a sale from me! Sixus produces a wide range of excellent products (albeit, a bit of a niche line of products)that probably exceed DAZ standards in many respects. Curio has produced excellent characters that are now being purchased by DAZ. And now Anton is working on a male figure that may eventually blow the DAZ males away! DAZ just sells more stuff....that's all :) I look forward to more from your company Chris :)

Yup! Store is back up - sorry for the delay! Sandoppe, The Poser 5 version has a dynamic sleep AND the conformable one. All of the material room settings are preset for all figures, MAT files (more on this below) and the sleeper. There doesn't seem to be any way of retaining the cloth room settings for a library item but I can write a document with the settings that we used for it if you like. As for the MAT files - we hand made them to include all of the material node settings so they are true P5 MAT files. If you own P5 - there is no reason to use any version of the model other than the P5 version. That doesn't mean that you can't - they are all fairly cross compatible but there was no need to burden everyone with a one-size-fits-all file. It would have been about 40MB!!!

Chris is there a texture template for the babies? Still downloading so didn't know if there was one or not :) Thanks!
