Sandoppe, Sticky one there... Yes, I designed Don, Judy, Will and Penny originally - or as we called them, Alex, Adrienne, Adam and Alison. I brought some of my own crew into that project and we created some terrific figures. However, we weren't the only members of the team. We did the initial design and modeling but these had to change radically to suit the restrictions imposed by the face room. The morphs, textures, and Judy's face and final design were done by a different team. I had artistic control of the original design - the rest was out of my hands. Don't blame the other team though, they did a great job considering how little time they had to do it in. They really flew along. In a perfect world, we would all have as much time as we needed to do the job right. Poser 5 was a panic from day 1. BTW, My Judy was designed to look like a Frazzetta girl. And before anyone asks - no I can't show you - I had to destroy all of my files when P5 went to gold master. I'm going to be out of town all weekend so don't take my silence for ignoring you. I'll visit again on Monday. Bye for now! Chris

Thanks for the explanation Chris :) I always had the feeling Poser 5 was made by a "committee" :) I agree with Anton.....your future characters are going to be very popular :)

Not by committee - by a team. A team under a great deal of pressure. Seriously, I'm proud of what we managed to accomplish in so short a span of time. Actually leaving now. Bye until Monday! Chris

BTW, My Judy was designed to look like a Frazzetta girl. And before anyone asks - no I can't show you - That would have been GREAT!! Rebekah

As you should be Chris......those of us who purchased a Poser 5 that did not seem quite ready for prime time, still have a tendency to express our frustration over what was potentially a great product. I also understand the "pressure" thing....been there and done that......and it ultimately takes a toll. Your original idea sounds great. I had no idea what a Frazzetta girl was until Rebekah commented and I did a google search :) If I'm looking at the right thing, she would certainly not have been the typical fashion model we see so much of.....and that would indeed have been very good!:)

I have absolutely no use for a baby figure, but the following sentence tempts me to buy it just to explore the possibilitys of the materials:

BTW, the P5 version includes an abundance of maps - Diffuse colour (the usual) specularity map, transparency map, Bump/displacement map, reflection map, ambient map and ambient occlusion map

Finally somebody does a product that really uses the P5 material room! I wish we wold get something like that for Don or Michael3.

Yes....it is very different. Each node is image mapped idependently. I haven't seen another product that maps this way.

Chris, I wish you the best with the new product. It looks great. Good luck. Steve
