Bandwidth costs are very high for a site like this. Do the math We have 164,000 active members. If all of them uploaded 1 image each day, 164,000 X one month = 4,920,000 images per month X the size of each image X how many views each image might get = A boatload of bandwidth. That cost is a lot higher than you might think. The $5 few to allow a member upload 3 per day is the best way to make it fair to the rest of the members that do not use 3 times the bandwidth.
