Well then, I have decided to model a car, only problem is, I need some help! Pictured above is what I have so far. I have two 2D planes shaped to fit the profile and frontal view of the car. The edges have been high-lighted in to show you. I need some help as to what my next step should be. If you know of any websites that have good tutorials on modeling cars please put up some links, I would very much appreciate it.

Do you have a top view of the car?

What program are you using?

What style of modelling are you going for , box, spline, poly by poly? I assume your 2d planes are polygon objects so I guess your next step would be to extrude along x axis several times adjusting the shape of each extrusion as you go. But like Cryptojoe says it will depend on your app and preferred modelling style. If I was modelling a car I'd probably try and box model it (and make a real mess I'm sure LOL!)Splines are very popular for car modelling and I believe Nurbs are supposed to be the best of all. - Baz

Here here to NURBS! I would make profile curves, rebuild them all to the same point count, then loft the curves, and trim out the portions I don't want. Split the surfaces for the glass...

Alright, sorry 'bout that, I should have given you some information as to what program I am using and such. Im using Wings3D and Im trying to use modeling in the style Baz was talking about, extruding and reshaping. I tried that for a bit, but I just couldnt get it right. Maybe I just need to fiddle around with it more.

Here's the way I'd start it. (Using cylinders to define where the wheel arches are... Extrude, cut, bridge, and extrude some more... Start by getting the bottom portion roughed out using the side view.
