The best resource I can recommend is not free, but it's not real expensive either. Check out www.3d.sk - thousands of hi-res photos taken with texture artists in mind. It's a reasonable monthly charge, and you get access to all of the phots as well as all updates, which are frequent. Best $10 a texture artist could spend, IMHO.
