I still run into that when I try to zoom in really close to work on a fine detail; all of the selection tools become very tedious (the marquee really saves the day here). I gave up a long time ago trying to stay in Poser native scale. Mostly because the C2 cameras kept reverting when I'd change views, and it was a pain to get the model back into the field of view. I scale up until it is comfortable to work with, then I import to Poser at 100% figure scale, switch on wire-frame, and line it up there. For clothing this is definately close enough. For morphs, I get a little wobble, but since I'm not animating I don't care.
