Subject: re-installing Vue pro

Hi, I want to try and reinstall vue pro as it keeps crashing all the time even after the latest beta upgrade. (my vue pro is completely legal). When I reintall I want to do it properly but I don't want to lose all my new objects, scenes and materials etc. What is the best way to go about the reinstallation please. Love esther PS I have a G4 mac with 2 x 500 dual processors. I'm thinking maybe my computer is underpowered for vue, but then the winged one has got the same computer as me and he seems quite okay.

If you have an external drive or RW CD drive, back up your directories to that drive. Then you can copy back the files and directories you want to save after you've reinstalled. If you don't have an external drive or your files are to big to mess with CDs, create a directory VP-backup (or whatever) and copy the directories you want to that location. Reinstall Vue Pro and copy your stuff back in. Even though the instructions may say that your files won't be hurt, I wouldn't trust it. It may be a pain to do it this way, but you'll have your stuff. -Lin

Well I've just backed up my whole hard drive that has vue pro installed on it, so it's all backed up. but what do you mean by directories. Do you just mean the folders with objects and scenes in them? Love esther
