I found the problem! I just downloaded and installed Firefox, a new browser. Even though I had put renderosity.com in the "safe list" for cookies, the browser had banned the cookies...interpreting them as "malicious"...curious...but curable. Thanks all of you for the helpful advice. ;c) I'm happy now.
