Geep, I had always wondered about the same thing but I figure it's maybe a way in the Japanese language to make a name sound "cuter"? In Greek we add "-aki" to the end of both male and female names when we want to do this. Kalypso, does this mean if a girl is named Terry, that the cute form would be TerriakI? (Crawls under rock and hides.)
