1 - default behavior is that if you have more than 100 items in a specific folder, then the thumbnails will be turned off. 100 seemed a good number at the time, I'm sure. They could have decided to not tell you how to change it let everyone spend six months figuring out how. 2 - So far, I haven't seen any new SR4 bugs. And I am looking. 3 - There will be no further service packs. 4 - All the fixes have been pretty well checked out. I'm very surprised overall. 5 - The change to the library had nothing to do with png display speed at all. Or even library display speed. It simply makes it easier to see what you have in a folder that happens to be full. 6 - The ability to set it in prefs would be very nice. 7 - I happen to think 100 is pretty innocuous myself. 8 - When you purchased P5, you had 30 days to return it. What? Oh, sorry, then. 9 - It does occurr to me that if ya don't like it that much, you could always just stop using it. Heckfire, I know I would! Sorta like I did with Lightwave.
