I've noticed that some people seem to actually race to be the first to comment on certain works as well, LOL. Whatever floats your boat I guess. :) To be perfectly honest, it's quite common for me to vote on an image without leaving any comments at all. They don't usually make the hot20 though. But a lot of good stuff never does. I think the reasons for announcing their votes are pretty transparent, by the way. The longer I'm a member here, I think the more glad I am that I'm not a popular figure. I know I suck artistically. If I had a lot of friends telling me otherwise, it would probably be a detriment to my growth. I don't want to think I'm good if I'm not. Cuz then I'd really look like a fool. Not only that...but I just don't have the energy to keep people in my favor, so to speak. I like giving back to the community by commenting and voting when I can...but I don't do the quid pro quo game. Takes the joy and integrity out of the whole experience.
