THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: What gallery to upload to?

xenic101 ( ) posted Mon, 01 March 2004 at 11:45 PM ยท edited Mon, 25 November 2024 at 5:50 PM

I don't know. I set up characters in poser then import them to bryce and build the rest of the scene around them. Some of the pictures are alot more Bryce than Poser but I put them all in the Poser gallery because the main subject is a person or persons.

My last picture got me thinking, the work in Poser took a couple of hours (most of it looking for a pose). But I spent three days fiddling around in Bryce trying to get the colors right and everything lined up.

The pictures are usually of the naked to half-naked female variety which goes over better over there. But I am looking for feedback which after watching both forums for a while seems to happen here much more often. Missed a lot of commas in that last sentence.

So if you're bored, could you take a quick look at my gallery and post back here whether I should start uploading to the Bryce gallery or keep it in Poser where the smut belongs?

Sorry, been a long day.

I would say because the points of interest are mostly female and that the background is just that in the background, that the Poser gallery would be the right choice. Nice work.

Generally the answer to this question is to go with the app with which its rendered but I can see your point as these are very Poser oriented and you would probably get more feedback there, but having Bryce contenet it wouldnt hurt to put a pointer on this forum when you post. I claim the prize of todays longest sentence. LOL

As the Poser Gallery Header states; "Images of Poser figures rendered in other applications are still welcome". (As long as you aren't trying to pass off your higher-end renders as being Poser renders...) It's up to you.

Yeah, AS, but you left out the best part: "This gallery is primarily for images rendered within Poser itself. Images of Poser figures rendered in other applications are still welcome, but what's the challenge in that? See how well you can do using it's basic rendering tools!" Doesn't make me feel welcome, more like a red-headed stepchild (no offense meant to actual stepchildren with red hair). :^)

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

I would submit them to the gallery of the app where my focus was. IOW, if my main focus is posing figures in a scene and then i import them into Bryce to do background and render, then it would be Poser. If, OTOH, i posed some figures to use in a Bryce scene where most of my focus was on the Bryce scene, then i'd post it to Bryce.

There's always the Mixed Medium gallery. :)

And it's guaranteed that in Mixed Medium no one will ever look at it.

Could be worse, could be raining.

Bigbadelf, you see my problem. I'm not sure what my focus is most of the time.(My boss pointed out that recent development today. (life expectancy - nicotine and other abuses... could me mid-life crisis.)) I just fiddle around till a picture starts to form. What I end with in Bryce is often very different than what I was thinking when I was working in Poser. Think I'll keep em in Poser though, the material fits in better there. If I'm really proud of the Bryce work, I'll mention it here.

Sounds fair enough. I like to call it mid-life readjustment.
